Could this be updated to 2.0? Companion Drones 2.0 [WIP] is running pretty well for me, but I appreciated how this mod made early game with them more challenging.

Hi, I have started testing it on 2.0 with Companion Drones 2.0 [WIP] and after I have resolved initial issues with loading, there was Factorio update and Companion Drones 2.0 [WIP] now don't work (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/companion-drones/discussion/67a5daba6c5cf17e87ec5ef3), which is quite unfortunate. I will see if author can fix it so I can continue or maybe send them a pull request if I have time.

It looks like the WIP Companion mod is only nonfunctional due to some [redundant?] graphics files that were removed in the most recent game update. If you re-add the Factorio/data/base/graphics folder from the last stable update (no replacing, just paste it in and skip replacing files), WIP Companions (and some other affected mods; I know there's at least one from Schall's suite) will run without issues.

Hi, Companion Drones 2.0 [WIP] seems to be abandoned and issue is not fixed. I was looking for different companion port to 2.0 and this seems maintained and also has similar logic for making drones weaker at beginning so there does not seem to be any point in moving this mod to 2.0.

MrJakobLaich’s version that you linked is the best version of this mod currently. I do think your mod should be ported because your initial companion drone, in challenge mode, still has laser and shield.

I would love for the companion drones to require a research to unlock, as well as making them slower, having a smaller range, and use more fuel. They feel much too powerful, so I removed the mod. I’d also love an option to see their range when holding a planner like with regular bots. Perhaps you could port your mod to 2.0 and maybe add some requested features, if you have time?
