Until someone has a good idea for the following issue, try to limit your selection tool selections to not much more than a chunk at the time:

How to use: (admin only!)
- left click drag over a small area and release to restore cliffs there
- right click drag over cliffs to delete them free of charge

This version is very crude, cliffs will clip into stuff, there will be lagspikes, there are no previews, but it works.
