What exactly do you mean with “stopped working”? Do you get an error message?

The error should be fixed in the current version 1.0.3.

I tried it, but it didn't help.

Try the following:
-When the error message pops up, click on Manage Mods.
-Update Electric Steel Furnace to version 1.0.3.
-Restart Factorio.
