I was just looking for this issue, because I have unit groups getting stuck in active state piling up in entity updates/active chunks because some poison spitter will get stuck hitting a tree over and over again so the group can't assemble so it won't attack or go back to standby.
So ATM I am hunting down the stuck spitters with the debug unit group view and destroying trees with artillery. So a fix in form of small physical damage by spitters would be very nice !
