Sounds rather interesting, and perhaps useful to some. Is it that much easier than just copy/paste of the blueprint export string?
If it was LAN, or Internet, capable, then it'd be wonderful to share prints with friends w/o having to be doing MP in the same game. With the same device limitation, however, it just seems easier, and with no setup required, to copy the export string in one game and paste it into the import window of the other.

You are right, for transferring several blueprints it is probably easier just to copy/paste export strings. However, if you are using another factorio window on the second screen as an editor playground and send many blueprints back and forth, it is much more seamless with this. It's how I use it at least.

Once all the setup is done, and with plenty of practice, as you've obviously had, I suppose it's handy system.
I'd likely forget which one was supposed to be 'sender' and 'receiver' and get the ports crossed. Or I'd set the ports and then launch the wrong one anyway.
The copy/paste has worked for me for so long that switching would be like learning to drive on the other side of the road.

Then keep using what you are comfortable with.
