This mod adds three new belt types that are augmentations of the three vanilla belts. The "bloodbelts" are made by combining a vanilla belt with a red wire. The recipe is available after the Circuit Network research.

When placed down, the bloodbelt checks the square directly adjacent to it (north, east, south and west). If it finds
another bloodbelt, it will automatically connect with that belt with a red wire.

Having this bloodbelt that autoconnects makes it practically viable to play the game with the bloodbus as an alternative to the conventional mainbus.

Splitters and underneathies don't connect with the circuit network. You'd have to manually bridge any gap in the bloodbus caused by them splitters and underneathies.

The mod also removes the sprite for the belt connector frame and its shadow, to reduce visual clutter, allowing you to see the items on the belt better.

Version 0.17.1 - migrating to the new patch. Removed the customized sprite sheet (with the little red dots on the belt surface) because I dont want to do the work of redrawing everytime they release a new sprite sheet. You can still visually tell apart the blood belt from their red wire connection.

Version 0.17.2 - separated the blood belt into its own technology, which is standard practice. Apparently it's so that you can add the mod into existing saves easily. Silly me.
