Hello! Firstly thank you making this! The world is more ambient and nice because of it!

I installed this on an existing SA save and noticed a few things that could be improved:
- Another item in crafting menu called 'Biome color lamp'. Since I have AAI too, so the recipes for both are different, with the base lamp taking glass but the new one has vanilla recipe. Thus breaking compat, plus feels a bit redundant.
- Both base lamp and mood lamp have biome based colors when placed. Placing either set the default color to 255,255,191 on Vulcanus, which again, feels redundant.
- Uninstalling the mod does not revert the base lamp default color to white. The color for new lamps placed after uninstalling stayed at 255,255,191 on Vulcanus.

Suggestions:
- Remove the new biome color lamp item and retain the mood color change to the base lamp only so it remains compatible with all mods recipe-wise and also removes any redundancy.
- Reset color for any new lamps placed post mod removal

Thank you for the report, I'm glad to hear you like the mod :)

I will run some tests with AAI to see what's going on. This mod should leave the base lamp completely unaffected - only the biome color lamp should be automatically colored. I'm not entirely sure what might be happening, but I will look into it.
I will also ensure that if a mod changes the base lamp recipe, the biome lamp recipe is properly updated to match it. If all goes well I hope to have an update ready for release tonight with that fix.

Hello, some updates for you.
I've fixed the recipes in this mod so that they correctly match any changes made to the base lamp and combinator recipes. This should fix the AAI compatibility, as well as most other mods too. Please let me know if you encounter others that need specific attention.
It appears that the base game is the culprit setting the default color 255, 255, 191 on newly built lamps. I'm not sure when that was added, but it appears to be intended behavior.

Would it make sense to replace/override the default lamp with the biome lamp - possibly behind a setting? That way there's less cognitive load and no additional changes would be needed for malls

Yeah, I can add that as a setting. I’ll need to write some migration scripts to update existing lamps, but it should be pretty straightforward. I’ll work on it for the next release

With today's update, I have added a startup setting "Universal mode" that will apply the biome color effect to all lamps. I have also added startup settings to hide the biome color lamp and combinator recipes. Thanks for the suggestions!
