Space Exploration recently updated and removed some items. When you go to remove a belt balancer that has those removed items going through it it will crash the game.
It's narrowed to the drop_to.buffer.insert call in the objects/belt_balancer.lua. Somewhere around line 283. I'm sorry I don't have the exact error message on me but I will post it later when I get a chance.
Commenting out that line fixes it temporarily but it does mean you don't get back any of the items in the balancer if you pick it up.
