Balanced Waterfill

Adds a more balanced counterpart to other, popular waterfill mods. Keeps buildings, spidertrons, cliffs, and other entities safe from being destroyed by waterfill, while still letting you use offshore pumps wherever you like. Highly configurable, and fully compatible with several popular mods including Space Exploration and Cargo Ships. Walkable to prevent you from making impenetrable defenses.

Could you provide some more details? What doesn't work? Is there an error message or log being shown? I was able to boot up both mods together and they seemed to both work fine.

sorry my bad it's not error with DriveAssist but Asphalt Roads it appears when reloading game after installing the mods together

also while I toggle on off this mod the water I placed in my map is gone now. this mod doesn't use regular shallow water?

I should have a patch out for this tentatively today maybe tomorrow, and yes, youre actually right that this mod does not use regular shallow water, it has to do with not breaking mods such as alien biomes (which uses shallow water in its custom terrain generator). This does unfortunately mean deleting this mod deletes the waterfill too.

I have a fix for what I believe to be the issue, did you perhaps have alien biomes installed? Alien biomes in combination with Asphalt Roads added more than the allowed 255 tiles to Factorio, which was causing a crash on my end as my mod tried to add the waterfill tiles. Just to make sure it was the problem, could you try this updated version, before I release the patch on the mod portal?

hi thank you for looking in to it, you're actually right they seems to not crash together without Alien Biomes
with the new version you provided they do not error anymore tho the last 5 tiles of Asphalt Road when placed it got replaced with landfill
is this fixable? or it's a limitation of Factorio

As for the limit on the number of tiles, it's a Factorio limitation, not much we can do about it, but as for fixing things, Alien biomes offers some options to trim out unnecessary tiles in it's options, so does AsphaltPaving, which lets you trim out about 24 optional tiles to avoid hitting the 255 tile limit. (My mod will only ever add two tiles at most, and there isn't much I can do about it)

Just booted up the game to check which options specifically, look for "Remove Obsolete Tiles" in alien biomes, also use the checkboxes in Asphalt Paving's section to get rid of any tiles you don't need, like double line or single line variants of various roads. The Asphalt Roads mod page also has a section about how to do this at the bottom under Known Issues.
