Drag over your rails and get a complete signal layout: chain signals into junctions, rail signals out, blocks sized to your trains, two-way track handled. Preview, confirm, built by bots or instantly. Undo and multiplayer supported.
Providing the player with new tools or adjusting the game interface, without fundamentally changing gameplay.
Version: 0.4.2
Date: 2026-10-28
Bugfixes:
- Do not plan signals on spots taken by belts, inserters, poles, train stops or other entities; robots could never build them.
- Where a selection edge has no free signal spot (for example along a row of train stops), move its signal to the nearest free spot inside the selection instead of leaving the edge open.
- Do not plan a signal across a joint from one that already guards the same direction, such as where a selection edge cuts right next to an existing signal; it would be attached to nothing.
Version: 0.4.1
Date: 2026-10-28
Bugfixes:
- Add landfill beneath ground rail and chain signals placed on water, for both construction robots and instant builds.
Version: 0.4.0
Date: 2026-10-27
Info:
- First public release.
Features:
- Signal planner selection tool (shortcut bar, or Alt+S): drag over rails to plan their signals; Alt-drag clears the preview.
- Works out the travel direction of each track from existing signals, train stops, trains and the drive side setting.
- Chain signals into junctions, rail signals out of them; junctions and crossings split into separate blocks so several trains can use them at once.
- Plain track gets a signal at least every train length; the train length is detected from your trains (or set in mod settings).
- Two-way track becomes one block with chain signals at both ends, so trains never meet head-on.
- Keeps existing signals that already do their job, so a replan changes as little as possible.
- Preview with counts and warnings before anything changes; Confirm builds the plan with construction robots, or instantly (admin option).
- Large selections are planned over several ticks with a progress bar.
- Undo with Ctrl+Z (robot builds). Multiplayer safe.
Settings:
- Default train length, train length override, block margin, drive side, and the junction grouping distance.
