Alternative Alt Mode

Replaces the standard Alt-Mode by providing more information for more objects. This information is shown only for entities around the player cursor, so the graphics of other objects can be enjoyed without always having an information overlay on top of them.

i [Feature Request] Keep game alt mode on, roll over alternative alt mode in radius.

Keep game alt mode on, roll over alternative alt mode in radius.

Currently the "Turn off regular alt mode completely" have 2 modes, alternative between "off > alt > alternative alt" and "off > alternative alt".
Request for feature to have game alt mode on at all times and alternative alt only kicks in over radius entities.

This mode can be noticed if mod is turned on and alt mode was already on, tinkering with mod settings or pressing alt will reset this.

Thanks for the suggestion. Duplicate from this thread

I was indeed already planning to implement this, with 0.3.0 a big step up from that where now the AAM sprites match the vanilla alt mode almost 1 to 1 for most entities.

At first I wanted to disable (re)drawing the sprites, so it only draws the text.
There are still too many corner cases where AAM doesn't match up with regular alt mode however

So I decided it will still redraw the sprites on top of the regular alt mode for all entities.

Implemented in 0.3.2

Thank you, works well with new options in settings.

Few observations:
Quality badges seems to be scale differently and sometimes seen as duplicate.
Quality badges options settings seems to be only effecting items (modules inserted) but not actualy entities (furance, etc)

Thanks, redrawing the quality icons is now disabled if both modes are turned on.

I've also resized the quality icons on entities to better reflect the vanilla scaling

Yes, this was intentional. I can not recolour the background of entities, changing their tint would also look weird, so I decided to keep the badge on entities.
I'll see if I can create a setting for it.

Do you know if there any mods that change the physical appearance of entities based on their quality? If so then it would make sense to have such a setting.

Naw making a new entire sprite 5 times, never heard of such mods.
