Wireless Networks for Factorio

Requirements

Item: wireless-radio (1x1)

  • 8x Advanced Circuit (red cards)

  • 10x Copper Cable

  • 1x Iron Stick (antenna)

  • 4x Iron Plate (shielding)

Needs circuit-network technology advance.

Concept

Connect wireless radios by circuit wire at long distances.
They connect at normal distances to all the other circuit network entities, but connect at 400 tile distance to another wireless radio. The radios don't render circuit wires, hence they appear "wireless".

I wrote this to implement my own thin rail layer for my rail yard. Now the stops can read from far-away circuit networks.

As is often the case in Factorio modding, the circuit devices are hard-coded, and these radios need to borrow from the lamp's prototype in order to work. So, you can set circuit conditions on the LCD backlight on the front of the radio. :)
