Do you think that in the future of the mod it will be possible to un-merge previously merged chests? Totally or partially? I'm afraid it would be complicated but it would be a must.

This mod already does this. Alternative selection of merge tool splits merged chests
I can't find this option... Can you help me? I can only destroy the chest, but not un-merge.
The merge tool you used to merge chests...alternative mode of it selects entities to split.
Same as alternative mode of Deconstruction Planner un-marks entities to be deconstructed
