Window Output Combinator

A remake of the classic Window Output Combinator by dasburr for Factorio 2.1!

This combinator takes every signal on its input and outputs them one at a time, each for a set amount of time, then moves to the next one. It's perfect for cycling a filter inserter through a list of items, building rotating displays, or stepping through recipes and requests.

Features

  • Cycles through all input signals, with red and green wires merged together
  • Adjustable timing: set how long each signal shows, from 1 tick up to an hour
  • Live counts: the output always carries the current value of the signal it's showing
  • Items only toggle: skip fluids, virtual signals and everything else, so only things that can go on a belt get through. Great for filter inserters!
  • Steady order: signals are sorted, so the rotation stays predictable even as inputs change
  • Settings carry over with copy-paste and blueprints

How to use

  1. Research Circuit network to unlock it
  2. Wire your signals into the input side
  3. Click the combinator to set the ticks per signal (60 ticks = 1 second) and turn on Items only if you want it
  4. Wire the output side to whatever you want to feed!

Settings

  • Default ticks per signal (map setting): how long newly built combinators show each signal. Default is 60 ticks (1 second).

Compatibility

  • Made for Factorio 2.1
  • Works with or without Space Age
  • Safe to add to existing saves
