Hi,
going to need more info as i just tested this and it works fine for me, you do have to restart the game for the setting to work.
1. What is the exact crash message you get?
2. What mods are you running?
3. What did you do just before the crash/to make it crash?

Thank you for the quick reply, the following is the run log of the crash after I modified the mod settings and restarted the game, and then loaded the save file again, including the mods I used, I hope it can help you judge the problem. I only made two mod settings changes before the crash: allowed to be placed on stumps, allowed to be placed on all planets. After the modification is completed and the game is restarted, the save is loaded, at this time the game crashes and restarts again to automatically load the save, the mod settings are automatically modified back to not allowing water to be placed on the stump and other planets, and I can't put water on Vulcanus.

Hi,
Thanks for that but that log shows a successful load and no crash, if it auto restarted after the crash can you send both current and previous log as previous will probably have the crash info (you will need to make it crash again) also you can use something like https://pastebin.com/ to put the log files (no account needed, set Paste Exposure: to unlisted and give an title) then copy the URL link.

Hi,
neither of the logs show a crash so im not sure what is actually happening your end.
I have tried 2 different saves and both allow enabling mid game. maybe try turning the settings one at a time then close factorio then reopen and confirm they show on then finally load your save (sync mods if it asks)
