If it helps, from what I recall the issue was the mod made acid pools and fire targetable by turrets, this included gun turrets and other things that would target enemies. So what'd end up happening is turrets would focus fire on acid pools when spitters would be part of attack groups and ignore the rest of the biters, causing these turrets to not help with defense. Since acid pools would not be affected by bullets, the turrets would keep targeting them while biters would swarm around them and attack them. I don't know if this has been fixed since I last played with the mod so it is possible that Pi-C had already fixed this issue. Just wasn't entirely sure since a quick look at the discussions on their page didn't seem to mention it. But in any case, thank you for reviving this mod! :)
