I really like this mod. Having a giant storage that I can have more than 4 inserters on is very useful. I was wondering though, if it would be difficult to make them filterable so I can always guarantee X amount of spots for X amount of items.
You could simply use filter inserters and have them wired up to only work if there where less than the specified amount in the warehouse, just connect the logic wire to the warehouse and set the inserters, it's as simple as logic wire can go.
