QOL mod that adds shortcut keys to change the item or ghost in your cursor to a variant. By default, it's shift+WASD, but you can change it. Shift+W/S move item tier up and down, while shift+A/D switch counterpart items at the same tier.

For example, while placing belts, you can press shift+D to get the underground variant of the belt you're holding. Press shift+D again for the splitter, and again to go back to the belt. Or you can use shift+W to go up to red belts, then blue, etc.

The same shortcuts apply to most items in the game. For example, you can switch between pipes and underground pipes, or between tiers of modules, furnaces, miners, assembling machines, ammo, etc.

You can also hold your mouse over anything and press the hotkey. For example, hold your mouse on an iron ore patch, press shift+W for iron plate, or shift+D for copper ore.

There are many pairs of counterpart items that can be reached through shift+A/D, for example: miners vs furnaces, asteroid collectors vs crushers, yumako vs jellynut, mash vs jelly, inserter vs long inserter, superconductor vs supercapacitor.

Currently designed for Space Age. This mod will still work without Space Age, but some shortcuts won't do anything because the Space Age items do not exist. Also doesn't have shortcuts for modded items.
