I read in other threads that you are quite busy currently, so I have a "quite easy" suggestion related to the loader-issue, which won't "eat you up":
Deadlock Loaders (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/DeadlockLoaders) are quite easy to integrate. There's an excellent pdf-description inside the zip of that mod, and you don't need to do your own graphics... just select a color.
The mod then creates loaders "automatically" for you.
