True Nukes

Adds realistic nuclear blasts, and more nuclear options, including various scales of atomic artillery shell, as well as atomic cannon shells. Also adds thermobaric weapons (these are like fuel air bombs), which act as early game nukes. Simulates the blast wave, thermal impact, crater and fireball of nuclear weapons.

a Major update 0.3.0

(updated 2 years ago)

This update is a breaking update and so will require reworking of your factory to accommodate it. (It also requires a new mod to work - https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Warheads).
It should also be far more efficient and far less RAM-hungry.
If you dislike these changes please comment here (and why)...

Getting this with 0.3.0 when I try to load a savefile.

This is with Krastorio 2, SpaceEx, True Nukes 0.3.0, and their dependencies.

It doesn't happen when I start a new game, but it does happen with any of my savefiles that had the previous version of True Nukes installed.

Yeah, I've found the bug, turns out I didn't do too great of a job with my migration scripts - oops.
Fixed in the latest version.

That was fast! Thank you.

I've been watching this space expecting a whole pile of bugs - honestly there have been fewer than I expected.
I do try to respond to bug reports in short order anyway.

Hi BicycleEater, after the update of this mod (and some other mods in my modlist + the game itself) I got this migration message, removing all these bomb recipes and tritium processing: https://i.imgur.com/yRYPfcm.png

I didn't get to use any of the mod content yet, so I don't know if all the removed recipes are part of your update, or if something is broken and they aren't supposed to be removed.

So could you tell me if this is normal and if they are all from your true nukes mod?

Thanks!

That is completely expected - the mod has had a massive change so the old recipes no longer apply, so I didn't set up migrations for them - the game simply doesn't recognise the massive list of new recipes which have been added to replace them.
(I might have messed up with the tritium processing - I'll need to check that, but it won't affect you whatsoever).

I'm getting this error message on starting the game

Hi, thanks for the bug report, what mods do you have enabled to get the message?

Here is the list. The only thing different would have been your current version of TN and the Warheads addition.

You're using a really outdated version of Plutonium Energy - try updating it, and see if that fixes anything.

I'll try it to see if it helps but won't keep it installed, I didn't like the changes he made to the newer version.

Ah, right - I only added support for the latest version, and I can't really face adding backwards compatibility for every mod which has had major changes.
