Hello was thinking how to create an excuse to need the trains go all around and to reduce pc impact to have void in between
but i found a mod (i had no contribution) that is absolutly amazing for exactly this.
The mod is called CTG as in Custom Terrain Generation (forked) by Kabury

and while you don't even need the void and can just use water, if you do want void like i do then just select custom and in the 1st section where you can write put If(Fractal(1.5, 40, 0.4), Land(), Void())
However i do strongly suggest to try all the other ones as well since it's amazing. especially if you wider the gaps so large that bot's can't fly over and using trains is a must and due to lack of space there is no way to create city blocks or other stuff that might revert it to the standar factorio (aka why i want the void)
Start of new map is neccesary. Also since no water, to ensure no "invincible barrier against enemies" i would suggest to use a pump water anywhere or such. Well the starting water + ice from space is also good option.
Ideea is that just try it, it's so amazing!
