Modules are now small programmed chips for a dedicate purpose.
First, you will have to research Modules, as usual. The research now unlocks the 3 tiers of blanks modules. The usual modules keep their research tho so the pace of the vanilla game is respected.
A blank module can be quickly programmed to a "normal" module and said modules can be reset to blank module. Programming is done by the character or any assembling machine and don't allow productivity or quality upgrade. No need to export your useless t2 productivity modules back to the planet that are doing t3!
The T2 and T3 are also cheaper, but the t3 now requires all the special resources from the vanilla module. You will not be tempted to rebuild half of your factory because you just unlocked t3 productivity modules!
Should support other modded modules, tho it shouln't touch to tiers 4 and highter!
Todo (one day) :
- unlock the reverse recipe with the vanilla module research, instead of the modules research
- put down setting to allow a price cost closer to the original
- securing the code (there is at least one edge case where the mod could crash)
- better graphics? I had a hard time founding a tint that makes sense.
