g Unable to get working on my server with friends.

I'm attempting to use this on my Ubuntu server. I have found the "timelapse" folder in the "script-output" folder. But its empty?
I'm the Admin of the server, and I have I assume started TLBE.. But every time I login it says "Remember to enable the TLBE camera to start taking screenshots." Is there some command I can run to start it? Do i need to change some sort of config somewhere?

Thanks,

When you open the TLBE GUI (using the toolbar button) you see the (default) camera with all of its settings and a 'play' button you can use to enable the camera.

See https://mods-data.factorio.com/assets/586e60c60086bd559570ec79fc00a9b0ee6d5df4.png highligthed button directly under the dropdown with the 'Main Camera' text.

I have them like this. Would this be correct?

Okay so I did find the timelapse folder on my Windows computer where I play the game. It's full of the images.

But... How can i make this run on the server for anytime someone is playing on the server. So it stores them on the server. There is a folder called timelapse that was created on the server, But it is empty. That was my assumption for where the screenshots would go, since there are a few users, and we all play from different parts of the world.

Thanks for the quick reply :)

Your settings look correct, but TLBE works per player, not on server level. So each player can have its own camera setup and make his own timelapse.
So it would explain why the timelapse folder on your server is empty.

I have no idea if it is even possible to run mods on server level, but for now you could have a 'fake player' that is always online if there is someone else online in order to make a (consistent) timelapse of the server.

I created this issue to keep track/think about it: https://github.com/veger/TLBE/issues/21

Ahh okay I understand now.
I do think it would be really awesome to have some way to screenshot a timelapse of a server no matter who is online. I hope you find a way to make it work. Thanks for your time and the help :D

I never realized, but letting the server/host make the screenshots on a multi-player game would be a very neat feature indeed

As stated in the ticket, it is impossible as Factorio won't render screenshots when running headless: see https://lua-api.factorio.com/latest/LuaGameScript.html#LuaGameScript.take_screenshot
