When the shortcut bar is being customized and a lot of shortcuts exist, the bar extends to the top of the screen and the stats GUI overlaps the search bar which makes it difficult to read the search bar as you're typing in it.
Sorry, I can't do anything about this. The Factorio devs would need to fix this on their end.
