The bobs/angels gun turret requires the SMG as an ingredient item. With that item disabled by Spidertron Engineer, we can't make any turrets.

the SMG requires the pistol.
Angels cannon turret requires the shotgun.
The sniper turret requires bobs rifle.
The flamethrower turret requires the flamethrower.
Angels peztilence spreader is disabled as an item, and required for a turret.
The laser rifle is required for laser turrets.

You can now enable "Compatibility mode" which will not remove any recipes or items from the game.
