SSPP Logistics Train Mod

by jagoly

A logistics train mod that aims to be as pleasant to use as possible, even when knee-deep in byproducts. SSPP stands for Source-Sink-Push-Pull.

g Stations' names

Is it mandatory to use unique names for provider stations and requester stations?

From the roadmap at the bottom of the readme:

"Custom names for stations: Stations are named automatically, but the names don't actually matter, so the user should be able to customise them, either manually or using a template."

The names of the stations are actually completely meaningless to SSPP. It names them automatically, but the names can actually be anything, as long as you don't have any vanilla train stops with the same name. Name conflicts between SSPP stops don't matter, because SSPP stops are actually always disabled except for the instant that SSPP needs to send a train (so there is only ever at most one SSPP stop enabled at a time). If you wanted you could give every single stop the exact same name.

I plan to port over an old unmerged system from cybersyn (https://github.com/mamoniot/project-cybersyn/pull/139) that will let you automatically name the stations however you want, using a template.

Personally I'm boring and I give all my stations boring names like the ones SSPP currently generates, but I know plenty of people like to actually hand-name their stations, so that will be supported.

Thanks! When I wrote the question, I forgot that your stations don't have a field for the name at all :))
