It reduces the size of some internal fluid tanks and prevents loading fuel in a cargo rocket or a spaceship.
These storage tanks should be left untouched:

se-spaceship-ion-booster-tank
se-spaceship-antimatter-booster-tank
Probably best to leave these fluids untouched too (would still work but would make the production of fuel 10x harder):
se-liquid-rocket-fuel
se-ion-stream
se-antimatter-stream
