How do you use it?

The main use for these boilers is as an alternative to accumulators, because they rely on the existence of a free power source like solar. If you are using steam power or some other source that generates on demand, the boilers will still always take their share, which defeats the point.

To use them in a battery, store the the steam from the surge boilers in tanks, and only pump that into turbines when it is needed (by using a wire connected to an accumulator, set the pump to work when the charge is eg. <95).

If your base experiences large power spikes regularly, it might be a good idea to put the pumps from the tanks to the turbines on their own electrical network to make sure the transition to backup power always happens smoothly.
