Realistic Reactors

Add realistic nuclear reactors including a breeder reactor type and cooling tower. The reactors must be controlled through integrated circuit interface signals. The thermal energy output is dynamic and depends on reactor core temperature. The reactors require sophisticated designs of their cooling system and heat-pipe network. If the operational conditions aren't met then a reactor core meltdown with dangerous consequences occurs

g [done] Spontaneous Reactor SCRAM

(updated 2 years ago)

I've got a decent-enough logic circuit set up, with nothing that'll throw out a SCRAM signal... but the reactor is SCRAMing (I think?) when the START signal is lost. this is with Space Exploration mod, but I've had it happen before without that. I can't figure out if this is the intended behavior, or what.

edit to follow up - i think it's scramming when it just used up a cell and then another is added? that runs contrary to almost all control signalling circuitry's design. if there's a fuel cell but no Start signal when it's still hot, does it not start the new cell?

The signal needs to be sent continuously. Either of the power-on or power-off states.
