Sorry I took so long to respond, I'd burned out on factorio for a while there. The compatibility code didn't even work in its current state, I'd have to relearn how to change the recipes for 2.0 and go over all of it, so I opted to just remove the compatibility code and just have everything use vanilla ingredients. If someone really wants to, they can download the older release and update it, but I'm just going to leave it as this for now, it doesn't tie into other mods at all, but is now at least functional and doesn't error out with certain mods loaded.
