Making an airport is near impossible, as hangars need to be humongous.

I suggest improving maneuverability when below 15km/h (or so) so you can move and turn really easily.
(Most planes can taxi with amazing maneuverability after all)

This would allow airports with large runways, but with hangers at the side where you can slowly taxi into (and load equipment/heal/store Ravens) then taxi out onto the runway when you're ready to takeoff.

P.S. Not sure if this is possible, haven't modded vehicles before, hopefully it is. (Wanted to mention that the maneuverability + landing/takeoff requirements + HP make airplanes a unique vehicle fitting well into the game, Thanks!)
