PlanetsLib: Tiers


This companion mod for PlanetsLib assigns 'tier values' to planets — rough indicators of where the planet fits in a vanilla-style game of Space Age — for other mods that wish to use this information. PlanetsLib: Tiers is separate to PlanetsLib so that it can be updated independently. You can hold the version of this mod fixed to avoid tier values changing (unless another external mod changes them).

Why is Igrys moved so far away? It's meant to be played after Vulcanus but before Gleba.

Hi! Thanks for the input.

Since I've yet to visit Igrys personally, moving it to the 'postgame and oddities' mod was a guess. However, seeing your pull request, I applied your suggestion. Your PR also mentions Tiber. Since this is famously one of the more broken planets balance-wise, I put it at a high tier.

By the way, I've turned on notifications for the PlanetsLibTiers repo, so I expect to be faster to respond to future contributions.

Thank you. I concluded Igrys based on the non planetslib/redrawn space connections position, which has it connect from vulcanus. Looking at the source code, it is discovered after vulcanus so this makes sense and it only requires vulcanus science to visit. It also has an option enabled by default that moves the spidertron research to Igrys instead of Gleba, so it makes sense it's supposed to be before Gleba (in my opinion.)

I understand your reason for Tiber, as it also seemed like it was meant to be played straight after Nauvis, seeing as it requires no other science to visit, but I can see how it makes sense to move it away for game balance sake.
