b [FIXED] Non-recoverable error on start

Just came back to the game after a year or so, noticed the old PDA wasn't updated any more. I downloaded this mod to start a new run, but whenever I try to start a game, I get this error:

The mod Pavement Drive Assist Continued (3.1.0) caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the mod author.

Error while running event PavementDriveAssistContinued::on_init()
PavementDriveAssistContinued/pda.lua:944: attempt to index field 'Arci-pavement-drive-assistant' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
PavementDriveAssistContinued/pda.lua:944: in function 'on_init'
PavementDriveAssistContinued/control.lua:40: in function <PavementDriveAssistContinued/control.lua:39>
I really loved the first mod, so any help would be appreciated.

'ello, glad you found this fork, and I hope I will be able to get some fix in place for you :)

Couple of questions for you to make it easier/possible for me to reproduce the error:

  1. What version of Factorio are you running?

  2. Do you have any additional mods enabled?

  3. Based on the line where it crashses, if you have any additional mods enabled, do any of them mess with the forces in some way?

Just as a side-note, on a fresh install (1.1.53), with just PDA installed, no configuration changes, I do not get any crashes. So I am suspecting it's some mod interaction that is causing the problem.

Would you happen to have any updates for me on this one? I'd gladly look into whatever has caused the crash for you if it still happens.

Sorry, forgot I put this in. I was running Krastorio 2 and Asphalt Roads. Those would be the only big ones. I Just started a new game though with the same settings I had last time and don't seem to have the crash happening.
Thanks again for working on this mod.

Ok, good to know it works now - there has been some fixes in 3.2.0, so maybe that helped, although your crash report looked like it happened elsewhere in the code.

Glad to have been able to pick-up the mod and update it a bit :)

P.S.
I'll close off the topic and mark it as fixed, but feel free to report a crash if it happens again.
