Thanks for reporting the crash, I'll have a look at it. Can I ask you for some extra information?

  1. Factorio version you are using.

  2. Blueprint for reproducing the issue.

1.1.53; no particular blueprint was used to reproduce this, I just placed a speed sign on any surface (stone brick, empty Editor Extension lab tiles) and in any mode (editor or character) and drove at it. Direction didn't seem to matter and near misses didn't cause a crash, only touching the sign did.

Hm... Just did a quick look, and I think the most likely culprit is that the cruise speed has not been set - or at least that's what triggers the bug. Mind you, this is a super-fast 1-minute test and quick look at the offending line :)

It is a bug nevertheless, but in the meantime, until I release a fix, you might want to try to set to cruise speed limit as a workaround.

And thank you once again for reporting the issue - while I am not the original author of the mod, it is probably one of the must-have mods in may plays :)

Ok, should be finally fixed - sorry for the long wait. Please retest, and let me know if crashing still happens :)

The crashing stopped, it uses the default 60 speed limit now :)
