Hey guys.
I love this mod, but sadly, Arcitos seams inactive in terms of updating this mod.
But with this Step by Step Turorial i'll show you how to "update" PDA for yourself, until Arcitos is back.
I dont take any responsibility for broken saves, as this is more hack than an update.

1: You already have to have the latest version downloaded (for me 2.2.0)

2: Locate the mod. If you downloaded it ingame + steam version follow this.
Ctrl+R ,in the textfield: %appdata% -> Factorio -> mods -> PavementDriveAssist_2.2.0.zip.

3: Win10 explorer already has a zip function, so no need for a special program, but you also can use it to open PavementDriveAssist_2.2.0.zip

4: PavementDriveAssist_2.2.0.zip -> PavementDriveAssist_2.2.0 -> info.json

5: Open info.json. If it just opens up, congrats, you're a real hacker. If not and Windows asks, select you favorit editor or in this case the default Editor

6: If you're scared now, because what you see in the editor, calm down and just follow me.
Locate "factorio_version": "0.18", and change it to
"factorio_version": "1.1.30",
or to the newest version.

7: Ctrl+S to save it. If it wont save because "the file is in use", please close the running game, wait a view second and try again until its saved.

Hope that was some help and thanks again to Arcitos for this awsome mod

The mod doesn't show anymore after the change.
mod-list.json is missing the mod, and every time I manually add it, it just overwrite it and removes it. Seems like the mods scan doesn't see it and removes it. Tried downloading the file again, changing the factorio version and it worked.

Hello folks,

(double-posting in this thread just in case, sorry for the noise)

After some time of waiting, I have decided to fork the mod and update it for Factorio 1.1. Initially I did try to reach out to Arcitos on forums to see if he would be interested in sharing project maintenance, but I haven't received any replies.

The idea is to make the fork somewhat more viable long-term, and for this purpose I have set-up a project repository on Github, as well as imported all the previous archive-only releases for historic purposes.

Now, while I cannot guarantee improvements in terms of driving algorithms, I will at least try to maintain compatibility, fix crashes, and possibly clean-up the code here and there. For now the fork contains just the patch that I have posted above (which is pretty trivial in its own), some wording changes to documentation, and tidied-up licensing information (still MIT, just update formatting a bit and added the original author - sillyfly - to places where his name was probably removed by mistake).

Should you wish to give the fork a go, you can find it at:

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PavementDriveAssistContinued

Just make sure to backup your savegame before trying it out, please!

Best regards

P.S.
This is a friendly fork, should it happen that Arcitos comes back, no reason not to merge the efforts :)

Overdoing it because you have no clue?

"factorio_version": "1.1",

is the correct line. Always do the simplest thing that could possibly work, don't overdo things.
