You play current 2.0+ Factorio version? If no — then you need to update it to play with this mod. I run mod on Factorio 2.0+ with disabled Space Age and it runs correctly.
Uranium ore by default in 2.0 uses “item_sounds,” I can’t understand what can be wrong expect the invalid game version.
