I can't get this to do anything. I select the tool on the shortcut bar, go to an ore patch and left click and drag and it looks like it selects it and then when I let the mouse button go nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

A few questions to try figure out what is going wrong.
What ore/planet?
Vanilla/Space Age/Mod?
Do any messages print out?
Are you playing on Windows?

Start planet of Nauvis running Space Age Factorio V2.0.11. I tried it on Uranium, Stone, Iron and Copper. No messages at all. Selection highlights the ore pact but releasing the button does nothing. Running under Windows 11.

Are you using Left or Right click?
Is the highlight box Red or Green?

Left click, highlight red

The only way I can replicate this is by Holding CTRL while Left click dragging.

I'll have to add a "debug" option for some extensive logging to figure out what is happening for this.

Is this a fresh save?

Found the problem.

Cursed Filter Mining Drill totally restructures the ores including the Resource Category which is used to filter between resources that can be collected.
Resource Categories shouldn't be used in this way but I'll add compatibility for that mod

Thanks. I disabled all the mods except this one and found it worked so was going to go through and add them all back one by one.
