Did you love your tank in the mid-game? Are you bored of slowly grinding through wall-to-wall behemoth biters? Are you tired of jumping in and out of your tank in order to launch nuclear rockets?
Do you want to buff the tank just enough to make it fun again, but not so much that combat becomes too easy?
Then this mod might be for you. It adds a tank with a rocket launcher and a 10x10 equipment grid (not so big that the game becomes totally unbalanced, I hope). It also adds a 4 MW portable steam turbine that uses nuclear fuel cells to power your equipment grid (no more free power!). You can launch rockets from your tank, and you can customize your tank with shields or speed or roboports. Oh, and you have a tiny bit more speed and twice the braking power. Other than that, this is the same old tank you know and love.
This mod strictly obeys "Factorio physics". For maximum combat fun, you'll still need a big factory that churns out large quantities of advanced weapons, and you'll still need to know how to drive and fight. None of the upgrades are free, because where would the fun be in that? But used skillfully, this tank will give you edge against the worst enemies the game can throw at you.
(If people are interested, I'm also thinking about adding a nuclear artillery train that runs off the same technology, for delivering large quantities of construction material deep into hostile territory without getting mauled by biters.)
