i Configurable auto-collection for alien artifacts

Could you add mod configuration checkbox for aliens' artifacts auto-collection on player movement near them?
Current behavior (with auto-collect enabled) has bad logic for remotely controlled cars (AAI mod for example): if car moved near those artifacts, them disappear, but not collected in its inventory.
I want to keep them on the ground, with ability collect them manually later, like other ores or items dropped on the ground.

may be better to add a dropdown component into configuration with items:
- auto-collect (current behavior)
- manual collect (as described above)
- auto-collect into player's inventory (if player is near, higher priority), or into near car's inventory.

Thanks for the info, I was not aware this was causing issues.
Let me look into it a little and see what can be done. I do like your last suggestion.

if you will select the drop-down way - please, place it onto "per-player" tab in the configuration (if it possible),
or at least onto "map" tab (if not possible) - to change it on-the-fly during the game.
