I haven't tested to see if this is already in the mod so let me know if it is: adding a target priority will allow mortars to also target that kind of unit, even if it's not a worm or spawner. Just seems like something that would make sense.
Currently, it cannot target bitter, only nests and worms, and as I haven't updated the targeting for Space Age it can target anything else. I was thinking of disabling this behaviour as normal Factorio allows you to limit targets to only what you tell it to shoot.
Though it would be annoying to set that up in all turrets, so I'll probably just make it a setting to disable 'moving targets'.
