As far as I know, this is pretty much it, yes.
I haven't gone back to the game myself in a while too, and failing to keep up with basic work and life chores as it is, on top of a lot of issues caused by rapidly deteriorating economic/social environment here (happen to live in russia), so don't think creating and moderating something like that is an option for me atm, dunno if I'll even be around for much longer tbh, if things go the way they seem to be.
But if you create a discord, channel or a forum thread for that, feel free to link it here, can probably add to main mod description as well.
Dunno if it's needed though, I've created one for the Will-o-Wisps mod in the past, just because that seemed to be a common thing to do for factorio mods, but don't think it had much use over years.
I think it's because Discussion tab here kinda replaced these forum threads for bug reports, and most mods don't spark that much discussion and talk, but idk, maybe this one is indeed different, if people like to share and talk about what they created on top of it.
