g Super passive biters?

I recently started a game with the mods from the farlands pack (so quite a few) so I can't be entirely sure there is not another cause but I am past 50% evolution and multiple hours into the game but there has not been a single attack at all. I used default values for world gen and the latest factorio release & latest version of all the mods.

Let me also note that it seems this changed recently though I am not sure why, maybe it was with factorio updating to .14 and .15? Since then there has been 0 attacks in multiple games (unless I literally run up next to a base)

They aren't even attacking when their bases are inside pollution (and they only seem to spawn a single lair when a new base spawns)

Yup. Super passive. They attack me only when I attack and they are not smart.

Based on the description found in the list below, this is expected behaviour at low evolution. At low evolution, bugs are peaceful, but they become increasingly more aggressive as evolution increases. Also, the base increase in evolution over time is decreased at the beginning (presumably to give the player time to build up a factory and defenses) before doubling after 24 hours and doubling again after 72 hours of playtime.

Even at over 50% evolution? It just seems so weird that I can go for multiple hours, have enemy bases INSIDE high pollution and they just don't care at all..

Had the same experience. And with evolution dropping when you destroy bases, they never ever attacked on their own.

Also experiencing this. The biters are barely bothering me at all. I'm able to walk around just shooting bases and only a few of the bases actually cause me any trouble.

This mod makes biters very passive for me. The hives don't produce enemies and killing a couple of them removes multiple hours of evolution factor.

Yeah I can literally just kill hives without any defense put up. If I take a really long time killing maybe one or two will spawn. This is above 50% evolution factor and over one and a half days playtime into a map...

Something is obviously not right at all... Going to have to stop using this mod until it's addressed unfortunately.

Confirmed, went good 4 hours without an attack. Toggled Misanthrope off and was attacked twice within 10min at .2% evolution. Something is deff not right.

I started a new game with this mod on. I'm 5 hours in and haven't even SEEN a single biter. Not even at their bases, which are in bright red pollution. I finally got bored and deleted this mod, 3 minutes later get swarmed by over 1000 biters, and as I never got attacked I didn't build any defense, leaving it impossible to defend against the wave in time.

So now I have to redownload the mod, beef my base and then remove it again to keep playing. Donno if it works at higher evo levels but from what I've seen I don't know why you'd upload a broken mod.

I pretty much give up on totally custom AI. It was a fun technical challenge, but its just not possible with the limited performance and debugging capabilities of lua. I've uploaded 0.7 which reverts to (mostly) stock Factorio AI. Other mod features remain enabled for now, until I figure exactly what my new vision for this is.

Unfortunate you didn't manage to get it working to what you wanted, hope we'll see you continue working on it though as it's a very interesting thing to mod!
