This is fairly easy to port to Factorio 2.1

For anyone wanting to do it themselves:

  • changed info.json (obviously)

file: \Mining_Drones_Remastered\data\entities\attack_proxy\attack_proxy.lua

  • changed line 185 to:
    local tools = data.raw.tool or {}

  • changed line 243 to:
    categories = {shared.mining_depot},

\Mining_Drones_Remastered\script\mining_depot.lua

  • changed line 240 to:
    v.disabled_by_script = true

  • changed line 356 to:
    entity.disabled_by_script = true

\Mining_Drones_Remastered\script\mining_drone.lua

  • changed line 122 to:
    proxy.disabled_by_script = true

Probably requires additional fixes if you use big mods like Space Ex and Kras

Thanks for this. Mostly works for me.
Also found that in Settings, checking to disable the Electric Miners causes a crash. (hidden member variable no longer exists in v2.1.)
I don't know how to fix that.

And for me, the change was line 242 in attack_proxy.lua for Mining_Drones_Remastered version 2.1.5:
categories = {shared.mining_depot},
-- old line -- category = shared.mining_depot,

there are also a few changes necessary to use the drones on Uranium patcbes, The game will crash if you plop a depot and choose Uranium. Something about it requiring fluid intake.
