b No auto-deconstruct?

(updated 8 years ago)

For some reason the drills are not deconstructing after the power runs out. It only shows the red fuel tank sign (no power) and that's it. Any idea why? Also it seems that they do not deconstruct when there is nothing to drill anymore. I think it's the same issue. Anyway, could you look into it and tell me, maybe it's being overwritten by some other mod. Also question, why is there 2 charged batteries? For 1 I need 1 Battery and for the other 1 1 Battery and 0.1 Sulfuric acid? Thanks

So the latest version switched the logistics miners to use passive provider chests instead of active ones, and likely you have ores still waiting in your miner, so it can't be deconstructed yet.

If you build a requester chest for that ore type, I expect the miner will empty.

As for the passive vs active, I had some suggestions regarding switching to passive, but if it proves a problem, I will switch it back to an active provider chest.

I tried that and so it did work for a while but than some drills stopped working without showing anything, they just stopped moving and nothing came out of them, 3 of them show no fuel icon and 5 of them are still working. I'm including screen of it, the red ones are working but if I hover over them I still see some ore to be mined, the yellow ones are dead not moving and in the middle are the no fuel ones. None of them are deconstructing. I am not sure why is going on maybe one of my other mods throwing it out.
So and finally. I tried your mod without any other mods and the effect is the same. Some drills stop working and nothing happens, some run out of fuel and none are deconstructing. Please look into it. Thanks.

Edit:
It seems to be working from time to time. Before I had to deconstruct them myself but now it does deconstruct. Anyways I will look into it but for now it's good.

Edit2:
I'm not sure but I've noticed that every of of the not working drills has the battery shown in the entity picture. Might it be that the battery after it's empty or sometimes just because, is being transferred to the storage chest? Just a thought I came up with.

I'm pretty sure this is all related to the active / passive provider chest change. If the drill still has any ore in it, it won't be slated for deconstruction. Only empty miners are deconstructed.

I've reverted the change I made in 1.0.6, so in 1.0.7 all miners should be using active providers again.

YEY! It's working now. As soon as I updated the mod the robots took out the batteries that were stored inside and deconstructed the drills. Grate work and thank you.

if empty batteries are removed from the drills by putting them in the drill's chests, it's logical that the drill is not deconstructed until the batteries are removed. to achieve that, active chests can be used together with storage chests that temporarily hold the batteries and sooner or later might be flooded with ore, or passive chests can be used together with requester chests: some requester chests in front of smelters to get the ore, and some requester chests to get the batteries.
