Would you consider making it a startup setting, if poles that do not display wires should be excluded?
If I remove the following from data-updates.lua:
if pole.draw_copper_wires ~= false -- exclude poles without copper wire connection
the poles that I use that do not display a wire, and will now work with your mod.

So you want glowing-fish-poles!?

Generally enabling pole generation for poles without wires will cause a lot of problems with hidden pole entities in other mods.
A much cleaner way will be to make a whitelist for your poles.

However I'm currently quite busy with other things so that may take a while.

lol, yes, the fish pole... but also I use the SLP Underground poles. But if it causes issues, no worries, I have the modified version that works for me.
