Manually achieve technological prowess without a lab! Why automate research when it can be a slow and laborious process that you have to micromanage? Maybe automate it with HandyHands for extra silliness?

Just craft the "Technological Progress!" (currently, a lab icon placed next to the lab). The recipe is "free" but drains your science equivalently to how much much a lab would drain them for the research currently set when it completes. If you don't have all the science packs necessary then nothing happens.

The "Technological Progress!" stacks to 1 hour = 3600 seconds. Shift + Click to craft a stack.

There are multiplier settings for speed and productivity if you want to hand crank your research at the speed of 5 or 0.2 labs or whatever. Defaults to 1. Productivity 5 would then give you 5 times faster research without draining your packs faster. Productivity 0.5 means you get half as much progress as putting the packs in a lab would give you.
