Inverted Quality

Inverts the Quality system to negative tiers (positive tiers are removed). Crafting items has a two-thirds chance to reduce their quality by one tier. Items in the lowest tier are nonfunctional. The new Downgrade Port allows high-quality items to be used in low-quality recipes, and the Meltdown Facility allows the melting down of low-quality items back into Normal base materials. Map sliders for higher resources are recommended.

this is a cool idea for a mod! You should implement an option to play with both inverted and standard rarity as well, so the player can make items from all qualities from busted to mythic.

Thanks!

Both systems cannot work at once. In 2.0 the only possible implementation that works is to have ascending the quality tiers represent degradation.

What about:
-2 Broken
-1 Funky
0 Normal
1 Rare
2 Mythic

Sadly not. If there is a chain then fresh items must start at either the top or the bottom, unless certain qualities are to be inaccessible.

hmm, would it be possible to have a range, adding to it, and rather than have the 'default', which must start at one end of the sequence, instead have everything, by default, crafted to the middle of the range? Sorry if that doesn't make sense; I'm not super familiar with the way it is set up
