FAQ

Compatibility

This mod aims to make other mods compatible by changing it's recipe and/or technology required to unlock.

If you have a mod that is incompatible, and the mod creator does nothing about, feel free to post it here with maybe a suggestion of the recipe or when it should be unlocked. I will be testing it and adding it.

Examples of mods that did not work (fully) before:
Quarry
Repair turrets

Recipe changes or technology changes

If you have a mod where you think the recipe should be more in line with Industrial Revolution, leave a post as well and I will see what I can do. For those things, I will add an option to enable or disable it.

Examples of mods that just had some changes to bring it more in line:
miniloaders
Factorissimo2

Request for Mod Compatibility

Making a mod compatible cost time, especially if it is a big mod. Not everyone uses the same mods as you do. This includes me. Having to figure out how a mod works without IR is one of the requirements to make a mod compatible, as you want the same behavior with and without IR. While that is not fully possible, you do know the mod, I most likely don't know it. So, to ensure that I don't have to play first several hours without IR and just your mod, I ask that you use the following format when requesting for mod compatibility.

  • Use the tag idea and suggestions
  • Use the mod title in the post title
  • Put a link to the mod in your post
  • Give some details of how the mod works
  • If you get an error, post that error.
  • Explain how it isn't compatible (Aka: Unavailable vanilla items for recipe, Technology removed, etc)
  • Give suggestions for recipes

With this, I know what needs to be done. Also, errors are most likely out of this mods scope, as it most likely requires the original mod to add a dependency to IR.
