IR compatibility mods deprecated


Changes the research and recipes of severaly mod to make it work with Industrial revolution, including: quarry and repair turrets. Am open for other mods that don't work well or you want to make it more in line with Deadlock989's industrial revolution

Yay! Now I can use factorissimo much earlier on.

I have another mod request for you: Robot Army. It looks like the recipes are not getting unlocked via research, probably due to IR's military tech changes.

Interresting mod, I will be taking a look at it when I have time. IR did a lot of tech removal, and the mod you request has a good documentation on when all gets unlocked.
Also got a suggestion for recipe changes? I will make that an option unless it requires a vanilla item that is unavailable.

There are tiers to the bots, the first being clockwork, so maybe swapping out iron for tin or something so it could come around the same time as the early construction bots? There's not a lot to do with tin at the moment.

After clockwork, just tying them to the different weapon type unlocks would probably work out alright.

The bots appear to unlock normally with IR, as the military tech is not changed. However, Robot Army only works well when starting a new game, due an error in the migrations file of it. With and without IR, it did not load on an already existing game. This is a bug on their part, which won't be fixed in this mod.

What will be done is the recipe changes as not all recipes works, due the vanilla items being unavailable, and there is 1 military tech removed. But the stuff don't even reach that tech.

Also, from the mod maker:
-- deal with unlocking the recipes just piggy-backing on military research for now. most droids need more advanced research to build them anyway.

It got added. I added an option to also use a special tech tree to unlock it, which will ensure you can unlock the armybots in an existing game.

I also have another request for you: AAI Programmable Structures. Currently this mod breaks the circuit network research and needs to have its data-final-fixes file commented out for the tech to be researchable. Not sure yet if anything else is broken in it.

Sorry, but I am not going to touch any of the AAI mods. It is big enough to warrant a separate mod.

The robot army mod seems to be working alright now. The balance is off, but that's to be expected I guess. By the time the clockwork droid is unlocked, you've already got iron stuff, so it's pretty crap, and the decent droids are locked behind military science which may still be a ways off. The droids aren't available in time to assist with early biter oppression, and when they are, they're too weak for the biters. Probably needs more work than this mod is scoped to handle to fix: the clockwork droids should ideally be available around the same time as the early bronze construction robots, but that means needing a burner droid assembler, etc.

That, I can do. I made a separate research tree for it after all, and for the Quarry I made a burner extractor already, and I can put the normal riflebots after military 1. The Rocket and Flame droids however, will stay where they are due the requirements they have.

And it got changed. I added bronze droid assemblers and bronze guard stations to it as well, so bots can be made earlier.

Looks like the clockwork riflebot can't be crafted by hand, but also isn't available for crafting from a copper assembler.

I seriously should take a better look at when other things are to be available. Thanks for testing, rifle (clockwork) and SMG bots (battledroids) should now be craftable by the hand and copper assembler.

Let me know if you come across more issues.
