b Biters/Spitters spawn without consuming pollution

I was trying out the mod and I noticed that Biters and Spitters spawn regardless of if there is pollution on the map.
They spawned even if there was no pollution. Could this be fixed, because it makes it very unbalanced against the players.

Also we noticed that the buildings where free, and only costed biters/spitters.

They spawn very slowly without pollution

oh okay, because how it is right now it's kind of unbalanced when compared to early game engineers. You can easily get maxed out population within an hour and the engineers aren't fast enough to deal with that.

Any idea how we could try balancing that ourselves? Like maybe help the engineers for the first hour, and then switch to the hive mind?

We were wondering the same thing, because the units and buildings suggest that there should be a pollution cost to it, but you can build as many buildings as you want and easily get like a hundred spawners in ±30 minutes, and then just continuously attack the players.

So is there anyway to make it more playable for the characters?
Or to let the spawners just cost more biters the more spawners you have, for example the sixth spawner cost like 5 more, the 8th another 5 more etc. ,
Or anyway to make the buildings atleast cost pollution?
